Craigmillar Book Festival 2017

This year’s Craigmillar Book Festival is now in full swing after a very successful launch in Craigmillar Library on Thursday 16th November, followed by two exhilarating and exciting events with author Jonathan Meres and pupils from 3 local schools.  Friday saw some hugely entertaining sessions with authors Danny Scott at Newcraighall and Francesca Barbini at Castleview  then illustrator Tom Foster first at Castlebrae High School, then later in Craigmillar Library.
On Saturday great fun was had with Macastory in the library with story telling and story stick making for children and families while on Monday authorand illustrator Kasia Matyjaszek met the wee ones at Greengables Nursery. Lots more fun to come and please see the programme on our home page for upcoming family events!

A warm welcome

We would like to welcome Agot Bugge, our new Literacy Programmes Coordinator! Agot started with us on the last day of July and has been really busy organising the 2017 Craigmillar Book Festival which runs from the 16th of November to the 25th November. Agot can be contacted at craigmillarbookfestival@gmail.com

Agot has taken over from Xana Marwick who has left after a very successful year in post and we wish Xana all the best with her new ventures. We would also like to welcome Claire Johnston as our newly appointed temporary Book Festival Assistant.
